Love Island USA Recap: Secret Kisses Stir Up More Trouble

Love Island USA Season 8 spoilers! What happened last week and what the stars say is next.
This week in the villa, everyone questions their connection, pulls the old bait-and-switch, or lands in a love triangle. Feelings evolve at warp speed. Trust hangs by a thread. And the one promised constant is that things can change at any moment.
Two love triangles dominated the week. One centers on Melanie (Scorpio), Sincere (Aries), and Sol. The other on Corbin, Kenzie (Sagittarius), and Melanie — yes, Melanie anchors both. And just when the dust starts to settle, a love letter challenge detonates every unresolved issue in the villa at once.
By the end of the week, two islanders go home. Casa Amor looms. And the villa feels less like a dating show and more like a social experiment on what happens when everyone keeps one foot in their current couple and the other in someone else’s bed.

Monday: Sincere Is Still Stringing Along Melanie and Sol
The week begins with what looks like a clean break between Melanie and Sincere. She’s newly coupled with Corbin but refuses to share a bed with him. Her heart still belongs to Sincere. She opens up to Corbin’s embrace anyway. Kisses follow. So does confusion — their new connection overlaps with the unfinished business between Corbin and Kenzie.
Melanie admits she genuinely likes Sincere and can envision something with him outside the villa. Sincere confesses he misses waking up next to her and thinks about her constantly. The problem? He keeps telling Sol the same thing. He insists he’s simply being honest and exploring both connections. Somehow, he manages to leave both women equally confused about where they stand.
Tuesday: Corbin Tells Melanie to Trust Him, But Should She?
Then there’s the love triangle between Corbin, Kenzie, and Melanie. Kenzie tries to give Caleb a fair chance. She repeatedly says she appreciates how similar they are and how safe he makes her feel. But every time Corbin enters the equation, that logic disappears. Their chemistry is undeniable. Their flirtation never stops. And despite multiple conversations about respecting Melanie’s feelings, they keep ending up in secret makeout sessions anyway.
Corbin doesn’t exactly simplify matters. Melanie still yearns for Sincere, but she relaxes into exploring things with Corbin. At one point, Corbin reassures Melanie he’s earning her trust — and implies Kenzie is the one pushing their flirtation forward. Hours later, he’s right back making out with Kenzie and agreeing to keep it hidden. In his words: the repercussions don’t matter.
Caleb may be this season’s most patient man. He watches Kenzie sit on Corbin’s lap and repeatedly question her feelings — and keeps giving her space to figure things out. He even makes her heart-shaped pancakes. She openly admits she’s tired of bouncing between connections and just wants something steady.
Wednesday: KC and Aniyah’s Biggest Fight Yet
Insecurity has officially entered KC (Aries) and Aniyah’s relationship. It doesn’t appear to be leaving anytime soon. Aniyah can’t shake the fear that she’s simply a comfortable option. She grows increasingly sensitive to KC’s every move. KC, meanwhile, feels like Aniyah constantly misreads him and grows frustrated that their conversations circle back to the same concern.
Things worsen when KC admits lingering curiosity about Sol. Add some antagonizing challenge questions, then viewers catch KC and Corbin joking that Aniyah is a “grandma” — it confirms every reservation she had. Not exactly the language of soulmates.
They find a moment of resolve. Both dedicate their love letters to each other, reminding themselves why they coupled up. Just when it looks like they’re back on track, KC admits he regrets not pursuing Sol more. Aniyah finds out. The wound reopens.
Thursday: Zach and Kayda’s Hideaway Date Gone Wrong
Zach (Scorpio) and Kayda head to the Hideaway. But even before their overnight date, Zach creates tension. He suggests they shouldn’t move too quickly physically — just in case something between them changes. They sleep together anyway. Zach then mentions the possibility of pursuing a bombshell afterward. More than once. His body language in the days that follow makes clear he’s second-guessing the whole thing. He even encourages Caleb to explore his options.
And Caleb does. He and Kayda share a steamy kiss during a challenge. A successful chat follows. A lot can happen between here and the finale. Meanwhile, Trinity (Libra) and Bryce (Cancer) keep looking like one of the villa’s strongest couples. They’re clearly attracted to each other and admit they nearly took things further physically before choosing to slow down. In a season defined by chaos, they look surprisingly stable — despite Bryce’s attempt to explore Kayda last week.
Friday: Love Letter Challenge Results — Sol Gets Sent Home
Then came the love letter challenge, which detonated nearly every unresolved issue in the villa. Kenzie received two letters — one from Caleb, one from Corbin. Caleb’s arrived empty because Kenzie sent hers to Corbin. At nearly the same moment, Sincere received letters from both Melanie and Sol. Sol’s arrived empty because Sincere chose Melanie.
In one challenge, two connections spun the block and came back to each other. Sol had already reached her breaking point. She’d discovered that Sincere’s conversations with Melanie were far less closed-ended than he’d let on. She walks away without a letter and winds up with Caleb. The week closes with Sol and Gabriel going home — and the boys immediately questioning the girls’ decision, calling it a mistake to choose Gabriel for the cut.
Astrology Forecast: What the Stars Say Is Coming Next
Casa Amor is next. Every connection now faces the ultimate test: temptation.
Mars in Gemini turns flirting and gossip into sport. Social dynamics shift fast. Alliances form and dissolve almost overnight. Mercury retrograde in Cancer keeps emotional communication messy. Things people said — or didn’t — will resurface at the worst possible moments. Jupiter in Leo brings spicy confrontations, grand romantic gestures, and the dramatic declarations this villa runs on.
These three transits form a love triangle of their own. And when they all come together? It’s some very good reality television.
